Help with drug fight

AT­TOR­NEY Gen­eral Chris­tian Porter wants groups tack­ling drug and al­co­hol is­sues in their com­mu­ni­ties to reach out for help from the Fed­eral Gov­ern­ment.

Ap­pli­ca­tions are open for the third round of the Lo­cal Drug Ac­tion Team (LDAT) pro­gram, which helps groups de­velop lo­cal plans and ac­tiv­i­ties.

“Set­ting the Foun­da­tions for Change based in Northam was one of the 40 LDATs an­nounced in Septem­ber last year and de­liv­ers sup­port ser­vices to the Northam, Wun­dowie, Grass Val­ley, Co­p­ley, Bak­ers Hill, and Clack­line ar­eas,” Mr Porter said.

Ap­pli­ca­tions for round 3 of the LDAT pro­gram close on Fe­bru­ary 19, with the pro­gram con­tin­u­ing into 2019.
