Toy library open day celebration
MUNDARING Toy Library is throwing its doors open to the public this Sunday for an open day to celebrate its success as a solely member-run organisation.
President Bruce Newton said the library wanted to celebrate its continued longevity since separating from the Shire of Mundaring a year ago.
“We’d like the community to see we are thriving as an organisation which offers a great service for families,” he said.
The open day will feature free kids’ activities and offers the community a chance to tour the library’s facilities and more than 1200 toys.
“The toy library is a valuable resource for families with young children. It encourages sustainability by reducing waste, offers a chance for members to try toys before they buy them and is a hub for parents to meet and engage with one another,” Mr Newton said.
