Quest Midland opened
SWAN Mayor David Lucas officially opened Midland’s tallest building at a booked-out function on Tuesday night.
The seven-storey Quest Hotel Midland has been open since March and Cr Lucas said he had already had the privilege of staying in it.
“Quest stands out from the crowd,” he told the joint Quest-Swan Chamber of Commerce function.
“Not only is it the tallest building in Midland, but the modern apartments that are an asset to our community provide better and more choice for business and leisure travellers.
“I believe Quest has made a smart choice in investing in Midland because so many exciting new projects have just happened or are about to happen into the near future.”
Quest Apartment Hotels operations manager Roger Law said the compnay was very proud and excited about the project.
“For us it’s about offering a unique accommodation offering in an area that really needs it. We believe the City of Swan has lots of opportunities… so we’re looking forward to being a big part of the community,” he said.
Cr Lucas spoke about the Swan Valley’s appeal and said the new accommodation for domestic and international visitors would be a “crucial element to our tourism success”.
“Quest apartments add a high-quality, flexible and appealing option,” he said.
