Grant for the Shed

Hills Gazette (Kalamunda) - - TRANSFORMING MIDLAND -

KALAMUNDA Men’s Shed is $879 better off after securing a grant through the Federal Government’s national shed development program.

Hasluck MHR Ken Wyatt said shed networks offered men a local social group with many health benefits.

“Although mental illness affects both men and women, men are less likely to seek help or talk about their feelings,” he said.

“Like similar sheds across Australia, the Kalamunda shed offers great benefits to any local men who need a bit of space and some friendly, easy-going company.”

Kalamunda Men’s Shed will use the grant to install a motorised projection screen and other equipment.
