Book sale for kids

GOOSEBERRY Hill’s Anthea Fel­lows is help­ing to drive a book sale rais­ing funds for Save the Chil­dren pro­grams.

The an­nual Save the Chil­dren UWA Branch Book sale is on from to­day to Au­gust 23 and this year fea­tures new cat­e­gories within the 100,000 books on of­fer, start­ing at 50c.

A rare col­lec­tion of more than 200 Fo­lio So­ci­ety Books were do­nated to the branch.

These books, along with car man­u­als, post­cards, book­marks and vin­tage recipe book­lets and plant iden­ti­fi­ca­tion books – gen­res not usu­ally in­cluded in the sale – will be avail­able in the Pop Out Sale in the Winthrop Hall foyer on Satur­day, Au­gust 19, from 7.15am to 5pm and Sun­day, Au­gust 20, from 8am to noon.
