LEAD­ING out­back sur­vival ex­pert Bob Cooper will launch a women’s sur­vival course in WA from Novem­ber.

The best-sell­ing Chidlow au­thor of the book Out­back Sur­vival has been help­ing teach peo­ple to sur­vive in the Out­back for more than 30 years.

He said as more women em­braced an out­door life­style, it was crit­i­cal they honed their sur­vival skills.

The women’s sur­vival course is de­signed as a ‘camp­fire class­room’ for women of all ages to boost de­ci­sion-mak­ing skills, ven­ture fur­ther afield and take a lead­ing role in a cri­sis sit­u­a­tion.

Course top­ics will cover the sur­vival psy­chol­ogy, com­pass use, sun and stars for nav­i­ga­tion, edi­ble and medic­i­nal plants and other vi­tal knowl­edge.
