Gold standard laughs

Hills Gazette - - NEWS -

AWARD-winning comedians will headline with Ben Darsow for some Comedy Gold on Friday night in Kalamunda, with a selection of the best acts from the Adelaide Fringe.

Darsow will be joined by crowd-pleaser Rich Naberhood, and Hawaiian-born Kehau Jackson to entertain audiences aged 15-plus with some edgy content that reportedly does not cross the line.

Otherwise known as WA’s adopted son, Darsow’s sold-out performances at World Fringe Perth are testimony to the ‘artillery of material’ he delivers and the kind of improv’ expected of a comedian of his calibre.

He has toured the world, performing in Edinburgh, New Zealand, Canada and New York.

Naberhood is best known as the support act for celebrities including Sam Newman, Sam Kekovich and Chopper Read.

Jackson is a comedy club regular who came to Australia in 2002 and “can really make a person laugh”, according to the Adelaide Advertiser.

The MC on the night will be Kel Balnaves, a Triple JJJ Raw finalist and no stranger to the stage.

Book for an hourand-a-half of laughter at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre, topped with free pizza in the interval.

For tickets, visit www.kalamunda.wa.gov.au/kpac or call 9257 2558.

Comedian Ben Darsow.
