Bombers are back

THE Beech­boro Bombers are back.

The se­nior foot­ball club will re-form for sea­son 2018 in the Metropoli­tan Foot­ball League.

Ad­min­is­tra­tors are al­ready look­ing for­ward to a derby be­tween Beech­boro and Mid­land at Al­tone Park.

The club formed in 1999 at Al­tone Park, last played in 2013 in the WA Am­a­teur Foot­ball League and won a league pre­mier­ship in 2006 in D grade.

League pres­i­dent Rowan Car­son said many past play­ers had longed for the club to re-form.

“And now it is hap­pen­ing there has been lots of in­ter­est,” he said.

“The Beech­boro Braves Ju­nior Foot­ball Club is also very happy to have the se­nior club back so their kids have a path­way to come through in fu­ture years.

“The City of Swan is in sup­port of the se­nior club re­form­ing.”

Any­one in­ter­ested in play­ing or be­ing in­volved with the club, call Son Nguyen on 0438 390 358, who has played more than 250 games for the club and also played in its first.

A meet­ing will be held at Al­tone Park to form a com­mit­tee on Septem­ber 4, at 7pm.
