Survey seeks a better understanding

Hills Gazette - - NEWS -

RANDOMLY selected residents in the Shire of Mundaring will soon receive a phone call to take part in the Shire’s biennial community perceptions survey.

Shire president David Lavell said the survey, which would be carried out by an independent consultant, would enable the Shire to better understand the needs of residents.

“Often we tend to hear from the more vocal members of our community,” he said.

“The process associated with this survey means we will get to hear from a broad cross-section of residents who perhaps are less likely to voice their opinion.”

The survey will comprise a wide range of topics, including current services and facilities. Questions will also address how well the Shire caters for specific demographics such as seniors, youth and people with disabilities.
