WELCOME back to Lynx HQ for another update.

After getting the first win of the season and going down to the wire against the Melbourne Boomers, there was some confidence building amongst the group.

This positive vibe was somewhat dampened early in the week when Courtney Williams was ruled out for the game against Dandenong with a shoulder injury.

However, this injury did provide an opportunity for one member of the team, Alison Schwagmeyer.

‘Swags’ is one of the hardest workers in our group and has been the MVP in the SBL the last two years, playing as an import for the Lakeside Lightening.

She has been training with the team in the hope of gaining her Australian residency so she can be a permanent member of the squad.

After only finding out she was eligible to play the morning of the game, everyone in the team was rapt for Swags.

The good energy from the morning carried over to the game against Dandenong, with the team earning a hardfought 88-78 victory.

The girls trailed by two at half-time but poured in 31 third-quarter points to take control of the game.
