LO­CAL prop­erty sales in­creased 22 per cent to 168 in the four weeks to Novem­ber 6, 2017.

This rep­re­sents a 6 per cent in­crease on the same time last year.

In Perth, sales trans­ac­tions in­creased 12 per cent to 2384 over the four- week pe­riod and are 3 per cent higher than the same time last year.

High Wy­combe was the lo­cal area’s top sell­ing sub­urb, with 18 sales recorded.

List­ings for sale in­creased 2 per cent over the last four weeks and are 1 per cent higher than the same time last year.

Over the same time pe­riod, list­ings across the Perth metro re­gion jumped 8 per cent, but are 5 per cent lower than the same time last year.

It took on av­er­age 85 days to sell a home in the Hills Gazette area in the three months to Oc­to­ber, 17 days slower than the Perth metro re­gion av­er­age of 68 days.

REIWA mem­bers re­ported 211 rental prop­er­ties were leased in the four weeks to Novem­ber 6.

This is an in­crease of 5 per cent over the last four weeks and is 23 per cent higher than the same time last year.

List­ings for rent in the Hills Gazette area fell 8 per cent over the last four weeks, but are 7 per cent higher than the same time last year.

Com­par­a­tively, list­ings across the metro area de­clined 4 per cent over the last four weeks and are now 12 per cent lower than at the same time last year.

The lo­cal area’s me­dian rent price de­clined $20 to $330 per week in the three months to Oc­to­ber 2017.

The Perth metro area also ex­pe­ri­enced a de­cline over this same time pe­riod, drop­ping $15 per week.

It took land­lords 58 days to find a ten­ant for their rental home in the three months to Oc­to­ber 2017.
