VOLUNTEERS are celebrating 20 years of caring for flora and fauna in Shire of Mundaring bushland.
VOLUNTEERS are celebrating 20 years of caring for flora and fauna in the Shire of Mundaring.
The Shire recently awarded the Friends of Black Cockatoo Reserves a ‘quick grant’ as reward for the group’s efforts to help conserve more than 32 hectares of bushland south of Jarrah Road in Mundaring.
New reserve signs made with the help of Mundaring Men’s Shed acknowledge the volunteers’ contributions.
Shire President John Daw said that without the help of volunteers, many local organisations, events and services would cease to function.
For information on grants and volunteering, contact the Shire’s grants and volunteer adviser Tracey Peacock on 9290 6678.
