Hills to Hawkesbury Living Magazine - - Know Your Candidates - Mitchell -

Darryl has a passion for our Christian heritage and its contribution to the spiritual and practical well-being of our nation. Darryl is married 50 years and have 3 children and 7 grand children.

Darryl is a committed advocate for traditional marriage and Christian family values and strongly disputes the deception of ‘Marriage Equality’ and ‘Sexual Equality’. Believes that nothing can equal traditional Christian marriage and Christian sexual morality. Darryl readily admits that he, like all mere mortals have failed to achieve the perfect standard. Having a ‘Gold Standard’ challenges all of us, builds character, perseverance and provides the best stable environment for all family members young and old and has no equal. Let us support traditional Christian marriage and Christian moral values as the ‘gold’ standard, in many ways an impossible standard to achieve, but an example to follow, yet not be overcome with shame and/or self-hate if not achieved, seeking reconciliation, forgiveness and renewal through faith in a loving compassionate saving God.

The traditional family structure is the foundation of Western civilisation. The results of broken families are self-evident in our communities: broken relationships, high divorce rates, violence against spouses, displaced children, mental breakdown, abuse of drugs and alcohol, gambling, sexual perversion, homelessness, loneliness, anti-social behaviour of all kinds, increasing suicide particularly in young people and many more disastrous consequences.

All these social dysfunctions have a disastrous impact on the prosperity of our nation incurring huge cost increases in social services policing, law and order, judicial services, health care, counselling and the general demoralisation.
