15TH AUSTRALIAN TRANSPLANT GAMES
NSW athletes are blitzing the medal count at the 15th Australian Transplant Games, with a haul of 55 gold medals.
Once on the brink of death and relying on machines to survive, the transplant recipients are showcasing their renewed health in Australia’s most inspirational sporting event, cleaning up in the swimming and cycling.
The Blues have fielded one of the largest teams at the Australian Transplant Games, with over 90 people from all over NSW arriving to compete in Western Sydney – and cause the other states some headaches into the bargain.
The purpose of the Australian Transplant Games is to encourage more Aussies to register to become organ donors at donatelife.gov.au
