LETTER FROM THE EDITOR’S DESK
Mobility and the independence to move has always been something I’ve generally taken for granted. Growing up, I broke my fair share of bones; fingers, toes, feet, knee, ligament. The resulting temporary impairment would emphasis what it must be like to loose physical independence.
It was comforting to know at least it wasn’t permanent. Thus, it resonated with me when Ali (above) started telling me about what Mobility Engineering do and the Annual Vehicle Conversions Conference.
When talking to Ali I was reminded of my Granddad after he had undergone a double hip replacement. He still continued to work on the land, and I remember, the hidden winces of pain as he would get up or down or in and out of the ute.
A big thank you to all the work that Ali is doing to educate Australian professionals on mobility solutions.
