Do you en­joy fam­ily his­tory re­search? Come along to the first Hawkes­bury Fam­ily His­tory Group meet­ing for 2018 and dis­cover the Top 10 hints for Scot­tish Re­search with Jonathan Auld. If you are for­tu­nate to have fam­ily as­so­ci­ated with Scot­land, did you know you can ac­cess a vast col­lec­tion of in­for­ma­tive records to trace your fam­ily his­tory?

Jonathan, a lo­cal res­i­dent and fam­ily his­to­rian, is a re­searcher with a lengthy Scot­tish pedi­gree and he will pro­vide tips on how to dis­cover more about Scot­tish names, cen­sus records, im­mi­gra­tion and on­line ma­te­rial.

The meet­ing will be held on Wednesday, 14 Fe­bru­ary com­menc­ing at 10am, Hawkes­bury Cen­tral Li­brary, 300 Ge­orge Street, Wind­sor. Any­one in­ter­ested in fam­ily his­tory is welcome to at­tend. The talk is free and there is no need to book. Morn­ing tea is avail­able af­ter the talk.
