COUNCIL AND MP SAY Thank You!
A civic reception to thank emergency services personnel, volunteers and recent award recipients was held at Hills Shire Council on Friday, July 20.
The orange clad volunteers from the SES mixed with representatives from the Rural Fire Service, Hills police, Fire and Rescue NSW and St John Ambulance volunteers who were all thanked by Minister David Elliott and Hills Shire Mayor Michelle Byrne.
The Mayor, Dr Byrne, said:“We are extremely lucky to be able to rely on our emergency services and volunteers for help and reassurance when tragedy strikes.
“They make themselves available, even if it means sacrificing their own precious time with family and friends to help those in need.”
Baulkham Hills State Liberal MP David Elliott thanked the emergency services and also praised the achievements and services of recipients who were awarded the Order of Australia Medal.
“Your contribution to the community is unparalleled, and I feel privileged to share this evening in recognition of your exceptional efforts,” he said.
