“This is a magical little girl’s room,” says HB editor Sarah of the gorgeous space Canberra homeowner and Beautiful Rooms finalist Catharine has created for her five-year-old daughter, Scarlett.
And all without an Elsa in sight. beauty secrets:
Whimsical and old-wordly, this room gives a gentle nod to the past and draws inspiration from the things Scarlett, a budding artist and fan of a dress-up, loves most. “I wanted the room to reflect her and suit her personality,” remarks Catharine, who chose an Ikea ‘Minnen’ bed (which has been recently tweaked) for its vintage feel and a fairytale canopy, bunting, and butterfly cushion from Numero 74 for their dreaminess. But it’s that stunning floral ‘Blossom’ paper from Mr Perswall that is the much-loved centrepiece of this gorgeous space.
