In dif­fer­ent sizes and shapes, one or many, th­ese DIY chalk­boards are both pretty and prac­ti­cal.

STEP ONE Place the em­broi­dery hoop onto the ply and trace around the in­ner cir­cle with a pen­cil.

STEP TWO Cut out cir­cle us­ing a jig­saw. STEP THREE Sand the edges of the cir­cle thor­oughly. Wipe to re­move dust.

STEP FOUR Paint one side of the cir­cle with chalk­board paint and al­low it to dry com­pletely.

STEP FIVE Loosen the gauge on the outer em­broi­dery ring and slip the painted cir­cle in. Tighten the gauge and hang on wall.
