MUTED BLUES

Homes+ (Australia) - - BARGAIN BUYS -

Although normally considered a cool summer tone, muted blues can be used year round and can add a relaxing feel without being too cold for winter styling.

PANTONE “SERENITY” is a deep pastel tone with the addition of a grey base to prevent it from being too cool. It works perfectly with grey- or coffee-based neutrals and also with chalky, greyed off whites. RESENE “DUSTED BLUE”, “FROZEN” AND “DUCK EGG BLUE” shades are also greyed off, but in slightly deeper pastel tones that have a stormy-sea feel. If your’re looking to repaint old furniture, these tones will work a treat, creating a relaxing feel, especially as a subtle contrast to chalky white cabinetry.
