The curtains behind the beds in Kirsty’s sons’ room (above) act as colourful backdrops and clearly define the sleep zones. In the room on the right, the animal-motif linen sets the tone for the house-shaped mural at the head of the bed. In bold blue stripes it’s the focal point of this room and is so easy to create – just use masking tape and paint on a large board cut to the shape you want. You can achieve similar effects with wall murals and decals. Choose a theme and have fun!
