DIY MIRROR THAT DISGUISES THE TV
Kyal and Kara asked Sydney Picture Frames to fit the TV into a black frame with a special piece of glass that becomes a mirror when the TV is switched off. Kara then created a box frame using cedar, because it’s light and matches her other furniture choices. To make your own box frame, take four pieces of 91mm
x 12mm western red cedar and use a drop saw to cut the timber at a 45-degree angle on both sides. Next, lay out the timber as it will sit around the TV and use wood glue and a nail gun to bond the pieces together. To finish, give the entire frame a light sand.
