PLANT A PATH

Homes+ (Australia) - - MY BACKYARD -

Let loose your inner artist when you create pathways in your garden. Simply make borders with plants or use them to visually even out any changes in levels and help soften nearby structures. Make sure you choose varieties that can stand up to foot traffic nearby. It’s lovely to use perfumed plants and flowers in order to catch their fragrance as you walk along. Or why not use pavers or stepping stones and grow aromatic hardy ground covers between them; they’ll release their fragrance when you step on them. When choosing pavers, skip the standard patterns and try chequerboard or herringbone.

Walk this way Colour, texture and shape make a fun feature of a meandering path.
