BEST VEGIES TO SPIRALISE

Homes+ (Australia) - - EASY FOOD -

There are few limits to spiralising – just look for a vegetable with a hard to semi-firm texture to avoid it falling apart when spiralised.

ZUCCHINI Use the thin noodle attachment to make the ever-popular “zoodles”. Simply boil them for 20 seconds and top with bolognese or pesto. CARROTS Great to add texture and crunch to a salad, or stir-fry for a couple of minutes with garlic. SWEET POTATO Use a thicker slicer to create sweet potato curly fries. Toss in oil and bake.

DAIKON RADISH Use in place of rice noodles to make raw salads and noodle dishes.

BEETROOT Add to salads for crunch, or sauté with oil and garlic for a pasta alternative. APPLES Coleslaw will never be the same again! Remember to toss in lemon juice so it doesn’t discolour.
