Homes+ (Australia) - - READERS’ HOMES -

Whether in her previous house or in her work as a photographer, Louise has always loved styling the spaces around her. “I’m a very visual person and love to scour Pinterest and house magazines for styling inspiration – I’ve been an avid house magazine reader since I was about 16!” she says. Louise looks at each room as part of the entire home, continuing themes and colours to tie the rooms together and create a complete space that feels calm and fluid rather than disjointed and busy. “I love blues and whites together and use these throughout the house in decorator items such as cushions, vases and throws,” she says. And although Louise likes to have her home looking spot-on, it is first and foremost a family home to be lived in completely. “There are no ‘food rules’ or

‘no dogs on the couch’ rules; instead, big blankets save the linen sofas from muddy paws. There is no point having a lovely house if you can’t relax in it too,” she says.
