THE KIDS WILL HAVE FUN

Homes+ (Australia) - - TRAVEL+ -

The Australian Institute of Sport (experience ais.com/ visit-ais) is where Olympic hopefuls train – take the tour, try interactive sporting exhibits and see athletes training. For more hands-on fun, the science-based museum Questacon (questacon.edu.au) has five floors of interactive displays designed for kids of all ages. On the other side of town is the “mini city” of Cockington Green Gardens (cockingtongreen.com.au) where even a two-year-old will feel like a giant. Our top pick in winter is 30 minutes’ drive outside of Canberra: Corin Forest (corin.com.au) is the closest ski field and you’ll find a toboggan, snowman making and “snow play” area.
