I love snuggling up with a fake fur throw as much as the next person, but there’s nothing like spring to flick my switch to “refresh”. I’m feeling chirpy… and it’s not just because I have my eye on a velvet sofa. As the health bods say, more daylight is increasing my happy hormone serotonin, and decreasing my melatonin levels, making me less sleepy and more inclined to actually do something when I read our decluttering story (see page 94). I will. Honest!
So it was with a spring in our step that the homes+ team put together this “refresh and renew” issue for you, jam-packed with fast updates, best new buys and inspiring ideas. In the mix you’ll find easy and affordable ways to revamp your kitchen, how to create a heavenly hallway, and great decorating ideas using the new season’s looks.
A personal favourite in this issue is our stylist Fiona’s Australiana-inspired dining room on page 76 (Australiana is a big theme for 2017-18). The soft green and blush colour scheme is just so beautiful. She’s now including her moodboards in these stories to show us how to put ideas together from scratch. I hope you find them as inspiring as we do. Here’s to a happy springtime, and see you next month.
