COUNTRY TO COAST
When Vanessa moved from her miner’s cottage and traded the country styling for a beach-inspired theme, she upcycled many of her much-loved timber pieces, including this hutch (above). “During the transition, we transformed anything with coastal potential,” she says. “To the hutch I added doorknobs in the shapes of starfish.” She painted over the natural timber of other pieces with Rust-Oleum chalk paint.
