YOU WILL NEED
● dressed Tasmanian oak, 2 pieces 30mm x 12mm x 1.8m ● hand saw or jigsaw ● pencil ● sandpaper ● white acrylic paint ● paintbrush ● thick cardboard ● hot glue gun ● black marker ● scissors
1 Use a saw to cut oak into eight 30cm pieces. Line up pieces next to each other. Sketch an arch at top. 2 Saw along arch on each piece. Use sandpaper to smooth edges. 3 Apply two coats of paint to oak (allow to dry between coats).
4 Lay cardboard flat and align oak pieces on top. Use a pencil to trace around. Cut out shape.
5 Apply hot glue to cardboard and press oak pieces into position. Dry. 6 Sketch hinges and handle onto door. Colour with black marker.
