Canberra is not the nicest of places. It's cold, flat and so meticulously planned it feels lifeless. It's also the home of 2K Australia, the last AAA studio operating in the country, so there's at least something going for it. I went to Canberra this month to get some hands on with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and let me tell you, the franchise is in good hands. All the naysayers who opined that Gearbox was handing the game off to the B team when they contracted 2K Aus to make the game were wrong. It's a talented team and what I played was fantastic.
It's a busy month. Not only have we been putting together this issue, we've also been putting the finish touches on an upcoming Horror Special and working on the soon to be launched website. Things are busy in the land of Hyper, but busy is way better than bored.
We're also trying something a little different this month when it comes to reviewing MMOs. Giving a score to an MMO after only a few weeks of play is difficult, so instead of appeanding a score, we're instead trying multiple opinions then a simple advisory of Forget It, Try It or Lifetime Sub. We like it. How about you?
Enjoy the issue. Daniel Wilks, Editor
