Draw­ing from life is an ex­tremely help­ful ob­ser­va­tional tool, whether it’s in a class­room or at your lo­cal café. Sketch­ing and ob­serv­ing peo­ple around you can be ben­e­fi­cial in learn­ing how to draw the hu­man fig­ure and the many emo­tions it can ex­hibit. Life draw­ing in a class can con­sist of both lengthy poses and short poses. Poses set over a longer pe­riod of time en­able you to cap­ture the de­tails and the study of hu­man anatomy.
