Improve your visual vocab

How do you make your art stand out? The key is to expand your visual vocabulary. Go to an art museum and seek out the most unusual thing you can find there. Do some sketching and note likes and don’t likes about them. Dig through old book stores looking for something different. Look at artworks that are outside of your job description. If you’ve never seen it before and you’re seeing it today, then you’re expanding your visual vocabulary.
