Alice’s Ad­ven­tures in Won­der­land – Sir John Ten­niel

He took some con­vinc­ing, but Lewis Car­roll even­tu­ally asked Punch car­toon­ist Sir John Ten­niel to il­lus­trate his fa­mous book. The first print­ing of 2000 wasn’t re­leased in 1865, be­cause the artist wasn’t happy with the print qual­ity, but the fol­low­ing year the pub­lic got its first glimpse of his Cheshire Cat, Mad Hat­ter and, of course, Alice.
