Strengthening the scene’s lighting and atmosphere

Now I hone in on the lighting and atmosphere. I apply an intensely saturated Lighten layer around the portrait of the character to provide focus for the viewer. I fix the shadows of the character and ship and add some smoke to suggest this is a hot environment.
