10 Rendering the focal point
At this point in the process, the hardest part is done. It’s now time for the longest part: the rendering. I begin with the figure’s upper body and parts of the stone monolith behind her, because it’ll be the central focus for the image. This area will contain the tightest details and greatest contrasts that gradually fall off as it moves away from this point.
