4 Un­der­stand the game’s cam­era

This game is viewed from above, so I make sure my de­signs can be read eas­ily this way. This is a spawn area, and a path leads the player to­wards the is­land, so I keep the grass and path clean and sim­ple to cre­ate the max­i­mum vis­ual con­trast be­tween them. Even with de­bris painted in, I’m happy all the char­ac­ter mod­els will read cleanly. I’m not tempted to model the kind of taller struc­tures you’d get in a first-per­son game.
