3 Be­gin with a light wa­ter­colour wash

I al­ways work light to dark when work­ing with wa­ter­colour. This is be­cause I can al­ways add lay­ers later, but wa­ter­colour isn’t a me­dia that can be ‘erased’. In this step, I’m start­ing with the light­est of my wa­ter­colour washes. I do this by thin­ning the pig­ment with a lot of wa­ter.
