Here in the UK, spring has fi­nally sprung (hooray!) and it’s al­ready brought warmer weather and lighter evenings to our bi­jou isle. I seem to re­lax a lit­tle more when I’m not hav­ing to scurry from place to place to avoid the bit­ing cold, and I love not hav­ing to close the cur­tains on the world at 4.30pm be­cause it’s dark out­side. Spring has so much optimism to it. There’s a whole year ahead to look for­ward to.

Right now, dig­i­tal art is def­i­nitely hav­ing its spring mo­ment. There are so many tech­no­log­i­cal in­no­va­tions just about to blos­som, it feels as though we’re on the cusp of some­thing truly trans­for­ma­tive. Cre­ative tech com­pa­nies like Sav­age In­ter­ac­tive and Am­bi­ent De­sign are making great leaps with bril­liantly pack­aged, af­ford­able art soft­ware such as ArtRage and Pro­cre­ate – and all with­out a subscription-based price tag to match.
