THE SPICE OF LIFE
This issue sees an eclectic mix of rather unusual feature cars. There’s no arguing with the fact that the predominance of Commodores and Falcons is unmatched within these pages. And not surprisingly either — entrenched tribal rivalries aside, both cars are superb examples of modern automotive design featuring a smart mix of powerful engine performance, cool styling, advanced technologies and, importantly in our space, scope for customisation.
Be that as it may, here we are in the last issue of the year and we bring you a phenomenal Honda Accord wagon — yes, you’ve read it right — which is exemplary in terms of gear and craftsmanship, followed by a VW Scirocco (this one is somewhat less unusual) mixing sporty looks with a classy all-Alpine install using some of the Japanese giant’s best kit.
The third car swings back to unusual. None other than a Nissan Cube packed to the rafters with Kicker gear. You see the Cube in Japan almost everywhere but they are a rarer thing in these shores. And lastly, from the USA a true icon of Italian automotive design, a 1991 Lambo which has had its interior reinvented by a passionate owner with a taste for beauty.
And that, my friends, is a true reflection of this publication’s tenet. One of celebrating variety while embracing the more frequently familiar. Enjoy the diversity!
