A ca­reer in golf?

FOR those with a pas­sion for the sport con­tem­plat­ing a ca­reer in golf, ap­pli­ca­tions have now opened for the 2012 PGA Aus­tralia Trainee Pro­gram.

Open to male and fe­male golfers, the three-year trainee pro­gram pro­vides in­valu­able on-the-job train­ing and ex­pe­ri­ence at a golf fa­cil­ity, whilst at the same time it of­fers for­mal ed­u­ca­tion in a va­ri­ety of vo­ca­tional ar­eas.

On com­ple­tion of the pro­gram suc­cess­ful grad­u­ates be­come Full Vo­ca­tional Mem­bers of the PGA of Aus­tralia, while also re­ceiv­ing Cer­tifi­cates II and III in Sport (Ca­reer Ori­ented Par­tic­i­pa­tion), Vo­ca­tional Golf Coach Ac­cred­i­ta­tion through the Aus­tralian Sports Com­mis­sion and a di­ploma of Di­ploma of Sport (Coach­ing).

The ap­pli­ca­tion pe­riod runs un­til Au­gust 31, with in­for­ma­tion avail­able at the PGA Aus­tralia web­site, the re­spec­tive state PGA of­fices or by con­tact­ing PGA Academy on 03 8320 1911.
