Septem­ber 25-27 Charlestown Golf Club

Are you un­der 18 and en­joy your golf ? Then come and par­tic­i­pate in this year’s 2011 NSW Ju­nior Boys Cham­pi­onship, be­ing held at Charlestown Golf Club on Sun­day 25th, Mon­day 26th and Tues­day 27th Septem­ber 2011 – three days of great golf­ing and meet­ing other young golfers from around NSW.

This event is not just for the elite golfer– there are hand­i­cap lim­its and prizes for each age cat­e­gory: Sec­tion A (16-17 years): Hand­i­cap limit of 8.4. Sec­tion B ( 1415 years): Hand­i­cap limit of 12.4 Sec­tion C ( 13 years and un­der): Hand­i­cap limit of 16.4

“This tour­na­ment is about pro­vid­ing young golfers from around the state and op­por­tu­nity to par­tic­i­pate in a State Cham­pi­onship event. Par­tic­i­pants range from state rep­re­sen­ta­tives, to those who are con­tin­u­ing to learn the game. It’s al­ways a great cou­ple of days, played with en­thu­si­asm and sports­man­ship from all par­tic­i­pants” stated Christy Collier, Events Man­ager at Golf NSW.

2009 Cham­pion Jake Hig­gin­bot­tom (Bon­nie Doon Golf Club) will again com­pete and will be favourite for the ti­tle. Hig­gin­bot­tom is cur­rently ranked num­ber two in Aus­tralia in the Ju­nior Boys Rank­ing and this year has claimed ti­tles in the 2011 Queens­land Ama­teur and the Kep­pera Bowl.
