Pro golf no picnic
PROFESSIONAL golf is a tough gig – just ask Australian David Lutterus and Jake Yonan-Wise.
Playing in the Cox Classic on the secondary Nationwide Tour in the US, Lutterus and Yonan-Wise were five-under par after 36 holes on the Champions Run course and still missed the cut.
They needed to be six-under to play on the weekend.
The winner, J.J. Killeen, carded rounds of 66-64-63-69 for a 262 total (22-under par) to sneak home by a shot around the 6572-metre, par-71 layout.
Aussie Adam Bland fired 64-67-69-66 – 18-under par – to finish in a tie for ninth place.
