Who is Victoria’s best putter?
DO you fancy yourself as a proficient putter? A master of the flatstick? A guru around the greens?
Here’s your chance to prove it. The inaugural Victorian Putting Championships will be held next month at the esteemed Melbourne Golf Academy. Held over t wo weekends from October 22-30, the event will be contested on MGA’s massive 18-hole practice putting green, and will consist of four qualifying events, with the best score from each qualifying round progressing into the final. The final will be held on Sunday October 30th at 2.30pm, and it is sure to be a mustattend event.
Best of all, anyone can win, regardless of age, size or strength. All it takes is a few lucky breaks and you could find yourself in the final!
TaylorMade has signed on as sponsor of the event, and is offering some amazing prizes, including the grand prize of a full set of custom-fitted TaylorMade clubs and bag ($2500 value). They will also be showcasing their new line of Ghost Spider putters at the event, so players can demo these cutting-edge clubs in person.
Open to golfers of all ages and abilities, entry to the event is only $10 per round. You can enter as often as you like (subject to space and open timeslots). While you’re there, you can even hit some balls at their fullyequipped driving range and shortgame area, take a lesson from their well-respected team of professionals or even just enjoy a sandwich or a coffee in the comfortable lounge or licensed cafe area.
