We’ve had a break from the chaos that Scotty, Shel­ley, Keith and the gang bring but we’re all keen to see where this train takes us, with an in­evitable crash or two along the way be­fore we reach our des­ti­na­tion. The Block is such an all-con­sum­ing chaotic and emo­tional roller­coaster of a show brought to you by caf­feine (and the odd wine or two), it’s the per­fect recipe for tri­umph and yes, im­pend­ing dis­as­ter.

The first week (well, the whole thing ac­tu­ally) is such a huge shock to the senses. The seem­ingly im­pos­si­ble time­frame, the be­wil­der­ing amount of money so eas­ily de­posited into your bank ac­count, the sheer scale of the build, and the whole crazy mess that makes up a re­al­ity TV show – it all hits you like a ton of bricks, and ev­ery con­tes­tant, ev­ery year feels com­pletely out of their depth. Se­ri­ously, who can pre­pare for this? Let’s have a look at this year’s vic­tims… hope­fuls.
