May Rosetta spots the house online and flies to NSW to see it.

June Rosetta and John purchase the house.

August The floors are replaced and some rooms are painted. The family moves in.

April Rosetta and a friend start drawing up the plans for the new kitchen and bathrooms.

June Rosetta starts buying tapware and sinks online.

July With help from a friend, the couple rip out the old downstairs bathroom and widen the doorway. The kitchen is plumbed.

August The kitchen reno begins. The window is boarded up where the tiles will be. Using Rosetta’s plans, the cabinetmaker has the cabinetry made up and installs them. As the layout of the kitchen changes slightly, they have to have more Royal Oak flooring laid in the kitchen. Luckily they have some leftover from the initial installation.

November The ensuite is ripped out. Wisely, they don’t start this until the kitchen and main bathroom downstairs are functional.

December A cement sheet goes over the boarded-up window in the kitchen to create a smooth surface for the tiles. Finally, the bathrooms are tiled, just in time for Christmas.

“The bedroom is a beautiful, relaxing space” ROSETTA SANTUCCI, HOMEOWNER
