Style of home: A grand 1920s two-storey Californian bungalow with seven bedrooms and three bathrooms. After four months of planning, the renovation took 18 months, with a pool added 11 months later. The cost of the renovation $$$$ – including a new roof and roof deck, the installation of the pool and landscaping – came to $1 million.
EXTERIOR (opposite) Originally a faded green, owner Dana decided to give the house a more modern look by painting the weatherboards in Dulux Colorbond Monument and the front door in Dulux Banana Boat. BREAKFAST NOOK This eat-in corner nook in the kitchen features a custom bench seat crafted by builder Mark Mulheron, as well as a table and ‘Eggcup’ stools from Mark Tuckey. A pair of Fine Little Day artworks reflects the home’s welcoming atmosphere.
