The Super Bowl is relatively young by pigskin timescales – it was inaugurated in 1967. The way it colours NFL history is tough on the Cleveland Browns, who won four pre-Super Bowl era titles. The Browns are one among the not-so-Super four, including Detroit, Jacksonville and Houston. And of this group, Cleveland is the only city not to have hosted the big game. Even worse: when the Cleveland franchise relocated to Baltimore in 1996 and became the Ravens, it won a pair of Super Bowls in 2000 and 2012.
