Support Josh’s fight

WHILE I don’t personally know Josh or his family, it’s clear that he’s a fighter.

He has endured more than most 15-year-old’s are subjected to as he battles a rare form of leukaemia in Brisbane.

What is also clear is that this teen is one very much loved young man.

Back home we have a number of people fundraising to help Josh’s family as they deal with the everyday expenses that are adding up.

Just last week Isis District State High School students got right behind Josh, hosting a free dress and crazy hair day to raise money and awareness.

It’s heart-warming to see the community pull together to support one of their own.

Josh will need all the support he can get as his fight is not yet over.

The teen will spend the next six weeks in isolation while he undergoes intensive treatment.

But Josh is one determined young man.

When I spoke with Josh, he said he was coming home fit and healthy.

We await your return Josh and wish you all the very best in your latest battle.

You can help Josh by making a donation to Sheryl Nimmo at the high school.
