Isis Town and Country - - Life -

ABOUT 130 children, their parents and grandparents packed the Isis Cultural Centre to enjoy the Childers Literacy Fun Day on Thursday.

The Literacy Fun Day was the final of six Australian Early Development Index-funded programs to be delivered within the Childers area.

Children enjoyed a puppet show, dancing and other activities with a literacy focus.

The idea behind the day was to promote the importance of pre-literacy skills for children prior to starting school.
