Petition to upgrade Churchill St facades
A COMMITTEE formed to beautify buildings in the main street of Childers is stepping up its campaign to restore shop facades and awnings.
Committee spokesman Paul Dwyer said the group had already collected 70 signatures from business owners who supported the upgrade.
“The purpose is to enhance the popularity of Childers as a tourism destination,” Mr Dwyer said.
He encouraged residents to sign the petition, which is available at A1 Realty, Childers IGA, Federal Hotel, McDonald’s, the Friendlies Chemist and other local stores.
